Some new casting news for “Arrow” season seven has come out today, as TV Line has learned that actress Katherine McNamara (Shadowhunters, Maze Runner: The Death Cure) has joined the cast this season in a pivotal new recurring role as the character Maya.
Here is how TV Line describes Katherine McNamara’s character Maya:

“McNamara will appear during the first half of Season 7 as Maya, a scrappy street fighter and thief from Star City. The initial — and unofficial — casting notice for the character likened the character to ‘Buffy the Superhero Slayer.’”

No word yet on what episode specifically Maya will be appear in, but it will be in the first half of the season, and from that description, sounds like someone who will be a real thorn in the side of all the heroes of Star City.
