We’re on the home stretch of “Arrow” season four with just four episodes left, and already we’re starting to get some info on what we can expect to see in season five.
TV Line is reporting that casting is underway for a major new recurring role for next season, which from the sound of him, may be someone who will play on both the good side and the bad. The casting call is for someone of any ethnicity, and in their late twenties to early thirties who can be a physical threat. Here are the details TV Line is reporting so far about this new character, who right now is named James:
[blockquote cite=]
“James, an irrepressibly charming contemporary of Oliver’s who is described as a man on a mission — out as he is to avenge a tragic, violent loss from his own, years-ago past.”
The character is said to just as easily shake your hand as your best friend or break your neck as your worst enemy — and you never know which one is coming. Either way, he’s more than capable of having a good time as he does it.”

The only DC character with the name James that immediately comes to mind for me is Commissioner James Gordon from Batman, but that description sounds nothing like him, so it will be interesting to see if this new character ends up being anyone from the comics at all.
But regardless if he is someone from the comics or not, James does sounds like someone who could be sort of an anti-hero for Oliver and the team to deal with throughout next season, instead of having a full fledged evil villain like we have seen in seasons past.
Who do you think Jame will be in season five?
