Deadline is reporting that they have exclusively learned of a new superhero series in the works over at The CW that will spinoff from “Arrow” and “The Flash”!
The new series is said to be developed by the “Arrow” and ” The Flash” Producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim, and is said to be a superhero team-up show. The series is also said to feature actors who have already established themselves as characters on both “Arrow” and “The Flash,” including Brandon Routh ( Ray Palmer/The Atom), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein/one part of Firestorm), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold) and definitely the most interesting actor, Caity Lotz as Sara Lance.
Deadline also reports that the series is in the early stages of development, but may skip a pilot and just go straight to a series, possibly airing next midseason. They also say there is a possibility for other characters from “Arrow” and “The Flash” to cross over to the new spinoff, as well as that they’re hearing three other major DC characters who have not appeared in a TV show yet will be a part of it.
While this hasn’t been officially announced by The CW or Warner Bros. Deadline is a very reputable entertainment outlet, so it’s probably a safe bet that a series like this will come to pass in some form. It’s definitely very exciting and interesting that’s for sure! I am curious as to what kind of team-up show it will be, one that’s an ensemble team, or one more like a Brave and The Bold style team-up where it’s different pair of heroes or villains teaming up every episode.
Hopefully we’ll find out soon enough, but be sure to check out the full report over at Deadline
