I am fine with Laurel’s death. I feel Katie Cassidy’s acting skills are lacking when it comes to the Black Canary character/persona. I feel her skill set makes her better suited for a different genre (romantic comedy or drama).

She is weak physically and is lanky and clumsy majority of the time. She shouldn’t be doing fighting scenes in my opinion. She also seems to always get in the way and never really seems to be that strong of a force in the show.

My boyfriend and a couple of my friends feel the same way when it comes to Laurel and the turn of events. I also feel Felicity is a much better female lead in the show. The reason why I like Felicity (Emily B. Rickards) is because she is a naturally skilled actress and her skill set suits her character and the show perfectly.

I feel people that are very loyal to the comics are upset about Laurel’s death because it is supposedly inevitable that Oliver is supposed to end up with Black Canary. Things can change in the show and I feel that it is better if the story line changes. It’s evolution. However, I do also feel like it is possible for Laurel to come back to life….people never usually die in these shows as we’ve seen LOL.

I’m a fan of the comic books and I had absolutely no problem with this decision. Laurel was never written well or used effectivley. They botched her from the moment Sara showed up. Laurel will have more effect on the story in death then she has for the last 3 seasons. So, how can you say that killing Laurel does not service the story. This literally effects everybody. I mean those last words to Oliver is going to haunt him. I know I am in the clear minority, but I am very much looking forward to the season moving forward.

And in addition, the writers told us through Damien Dhark that if Quentin betrayed him he would kill Laurel and then he killed her. Dhark would be a pretty crappy villain if he didn’t do that. His threats would be empty. I’m sorry it happened to be Laurel that paid the price, but to me at least, that makes perfect sense.

I sent you guys an email that gets my thought out more effectivley, so ignore these posts and read that.

I felt that this episode was vintage Arrow, good fighting, going after the bad guy, mystery, all the elements that made me love Arrow in the first place. What worries me is that Laurel worked so well with the team- her chats with Oliver, the fact that Oliver gave her some insightful advice about becoming DA- it all was great- vintage Arrow (no relationship drama). I am worried about what comes next – if Laurel as the voice of reason and Oliver’s confidante worked so well now that you killed off Laurel, a strong well rounded flushed out independent female character.. I just don’t not know what is going to happen to the show and how they will fill this void?

I always enjoy your guys take on each episode of arrow, even when I don’t agree it’s always nice to hear two other people’s opinion. But I feel that your guys frustration with the way arrow has been handled this past season has clouded your judgement a little. I whole heartedly agree with guys that the writers have screwed the pooch with felicitys story line but aren’t you guys overreacting just a little. While this season hasn’t been great and there have been plenty of roll your eyes moments it’s still a very enjoyable season. Listening to u guys that last episode was depressing, especially when it was a good episode.

Totally disagree about the comments on Katie lacking skillset .. Have you even watched Ruby of Supernatural ? And ofcourse in the fight scene of 418?? She did the best .. But her character was underutilized by the writers thats the fact, they concentrated so much on oli..city boring scenes, they missed to write her better always worrying about oli..city fandoms backslash if they didnt do what they were asked to do by this fandom

And felicity ?? Just give her the BC Mantle and lets see whether she can do better than katie .. It would become comedy of errors.. !!!
