Comic Book Resources got the exclusive reveal today that actor Marc Singer (Probably best known for his role in the 1982 film “Beastmaster”) has joined the cast of “Arrow” in a recurring role starting in episode 14 of this season.
Marc Singer will be playing the DC character General Matthew Shrieve, who in the comics is the leader of a military group called the Creature Commandos, which featured members that were like classic horror monsters. Here is the official description of how the character will be used in “Arrow” from Warner Bros. TV:
“In the DC Comics, Matthew Shrieve is the leader of a group known as the Creature Commandos. In ‘Arrow’ he will play a significant role in the latter portion of the season’s flashback storyline.”
While it wasn’t revealed if the Creature Commandos in “Arrow” will be the same as they are in the comics, the official description of the character did say he is the leader of the Creature Commandos, so we do know that some version of the team will be included in the series.
Stay tuned as we wait for more info to get revealed about the latest group of DC characters to appear on “Arrow,” the Creature Commandos!
