During the Television Critics Association today, the CW revealed the air dates for this year’s big superhero crossover, and how it will be a little different from last years event.
Via Deadline, it was revealed that the first night of the crossover will be on Monday November 27th, and will be a two episode team up of “Supergirl” and “Arrow.” Then on Tuesday November 28th, the crossover will conclude with two episodes of “The Flash” and “Legends of Tomorrow.”
The big change this year is that the crossover will be just two nights instead of four, with an episode from two series airing back to back on those nights. Regarding that change, CW president Mark Pedowitz says, “Last year’s (crossover) was the most successful week in CW history in terms of ratings and everything. We felt in this particular case we had Flash on Legends paired, so it was better to make it two two-hour movies – a miniseries – we thought this was the best way to go. We had a lot of conversations with producers and marketing people. Next year, we might go back to four nights.”
This is definitely an interesting way to go for this year’s crossover, but I think it will be nice to see the whole event in just two days, with two episodes airing back to back on both nights.
