The panel for “Arrow” at the San Diego Comic Con just wrapped up, and besides debuting a cool new trailer for season 3, the cast and crew also shared some new information about the series’ third season. In attendance for the panel were Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Colton Haynes, Willa Holland, Paul Blackthorne, and John Barrowman, along with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg. Here is a nice recap of some of the new information revealed about season 3 during the panel from the folks over at Superhero Hype who were in attendance:

They have season three fully mapped out.

Amell says that there were times in the first two seasons that the show was “even more important to me than it probably should have been.”

“The Thea that you saw in seasons one and season two is not coming back for season three,” says
Willa Holland.

Ramsey will be developing Diggle’s fatherhood throughout the season.

Queen doesn’t want him on the front line because of it.

Felicity will visit Central City in episode four.

They couldn’t use Ted Kord because there were “already other plans for him.”

Berlanti says that they’ll deal honestly with Oliver and Felicity’s feeling for one another.

Barrowman says that he thinks a big part of his arc will be about how much control he can exert over Thea.

Kreisberg says that, while island flashbacks will be fewer, there are a number of things they’ve set up.

We’re going to see more Amanda Waller later in the season.

Guggenheim says that we’ll see the scene immediately after Thea enters the limo.

There’s no chance of him “deliberately” leaving the team,” Ramsey says of Diggle this season.

In an upcoming episode, we’ll start getting Felicity flashbacks to her time at MIT! The first episode they do that is titled “Oracle”
